- Chiron re-branded AddSecure
AddSecure, a leading European provider of secure communication solutions within monitored alarms and critical IoT communications, is presenting its new product IRIS-4 along with an innovative business model, Security-as-a-Service at the Security Essen 2018.
IRIS-4 was developed by Chiron Communications, a company, which has been part of the AddSecure Group since June 2017. Besides the launch of IRIS-4, Security Essen is also the starting point for the re-branding of Chiron to AddSecure.
IRIS-4 with technical innovations
Following the successful series IRIS-800, IRIS Touch and IRIS Touch Next Generation, IRIS-4 is now the fourth generation of the AoIP product range. New technical specifications include upgrading to the 4G standard, an improved processor that now convinces with double the capacity and speed, and a dual-resolution LCD touchscreen with support for Arabic and Cyrillic fonts. The IRIS-4 flash memory has 64 MB instead of 32 MB as before. The EEPROM is 512 MB. In addition, AddSecure improved the micro USB port.
The customer benefits of all these technical upgrades are that the IRIS-4 products are future proof in regards to the changes in the mobile networks and ready for new technologies such as IPv6, DNS and visual alarm verification.
All IRIS-4 products are tested and certified by the renowned VDS laboratories to the latest and highest European standards for alarm transmission.
Security as a Service as a new business model
To date, AddSecure has been selling its products to companies. The products of the IRIS-4 line are now also available as Security-as-a-Service. It targets large organizations such as global retailers, pan-European alarm receiving centres and international security installation organizations.
The IRIS Security-as-a-Service business model includes the delivery of an IRIS dual-path terminal, the connection to an IRIS Secure Apps platform, a roaming 4G data SIM card and an extended warranty for the contractual period, which can be 36 or 60 months.
IRIS Security as a Service customers get all they need for secured Alarm over IP transmission in an AddSecure one-stop-shop and this at an agreed monthly cost without any surprises.
